What is Your Opinion of Cash for Caulkers?
Although Congress has been silent on the Homestar program recently, NPR recently published a story about how the Goldstar and Silverstar programs would work. The article generated a lively discussion with 78 comments. So, what do you think about the proposed Homestar program that the Senate needs to vote on? Are you in favor of it or against it? Why? I hope that this idea is not dead. It would certainly help to promote home energy efficiency and allow home owners to do so with tax credits.
The rich get all kiinds of breaks yet the ordinary middle person who want to to put in
insullation and a cool roof gets no breaks. I only purchased $1500 for new new doors and windows because there was going to be a rebate. I also purchased a refrigerator becaue I received a rebate.
I am not going through with plans to put new insulation in my attic or purchase a new air conditioner and furnace. because the government didn’ t pass the silver star and gold star plan.
I canceled my order for a cool roof shingles last year because the senate didn;t pass the
retrofit homestar bill.
I wish they would take action on what would bring more jobs and make ou nation energy efficient.
Our government hipes the people for energy equipment but they don’t provide the incentives.
I am not doing anything because the senate doesn’t feel it should be pased. If the bill passed
a lot of people would have jobs.
This tax cut would be huge for home owners and the building industry. If Obama really wants to create jobs now’s his chance.
